Commissioning a Bespoke Artwork
Commissioning an artwork is a meaningful collaboration, one that brings together your vision and my creative process to produce a piece that is truly one-of-a-kind. I’m always honoured to be invited into someone’s personal or professional space in this way and I find the journey from concept to completion deeply rewarding.
Whether it’s a landscape that holds special memory, a view you love, or a unique size or colour palette to suit your space, I work closely with you to bring your ideas to life.
How the Commission Process Works
1. Initial Enquiry
Reach out to me directly via email or the contact form. Share any thoughts you have about the subject, colour palette, format, or where the artwork will be displayed. Don’t worry if it’s just a loose idea, we’ll refine it together.
2. Concept and Quotation
Once we’ve discussed your vision, I’ll confirm the proposed format and medium and provide a quote. Pricing is based on size, complexity, and whether the piece is framed. I’ll also outline timeframes and delivery options.
3. Confirmation and Deposit
To secure your commission, a 50% deposit is required. This allows me to schedule your piece and begin the creative process.
4. Creation Phase
I’ll work on your artwork with great care and intention. Depending on the nature of the commission, I may share progress updates or preview images for feedback. This phase may take a few weeks, depending on complexity and drying times.
5. Final Approval and Delivery
Once the piece is complete, you’ll receive final images for approval. The remaining balance is due at this point. Upon payment, your artwork will be carefully packaged and either couriered internationally or delivered locally, with quotes provided individually based on location.
