Drawing Workshop for Mindfulness
Next one coming soon… 2025 – Price R1250
A creative workshop to slow down, observe deeply and connect with the present moment.
Join us at the picturesque Cheverell’s Farm Shed in Elgin, for a unique Mindful Drawing Workshop, where art meets mindfulness. Using the expressive and forgiving medium of charcoal, we’ll explore drawing as a meditative practice—focusing on deep observation, breath and the joy of the creative process.
This workshop is designed for beginners and beyond, offering guided exercises that emphasise contours, value and shading while helping to quiet the inner critic. Mindful drawing is not about perfection; it’s about being present, having awareness and finding flow.
Workshop Schedule
- 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM | Welcome coffee & a freshly baked muffin
- 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM | Guided drawing exercises focusing on mindful observation and technique
- 10:30 AM – 10:45 AM | Break with fresh apple juice
- 10:45 AM – 12:30 PM | Expressive charcoal drawing & personal reflection
- 12:30 PM | Light lunch & closing discussion
Beyond the workshop, these techniques can become simple tools for reducing stress, improving focus and fostering emotional balance in daily life. Whether you’re looking to deepen your creativity or simply take a mindful pause, this experience will leave you feeling refreshed and inspired.
Come and discover the art of slowing down.
